How To do JAMB Profile Registration.

Profile registration can be done by sending an SMS with a mobile phone number to 55019 or 66019, it can also be done online via JAMB portal www.jamb.gov.ng

Profile registration is a compulsory for all JAMB candidates, because your profile will be needed for further communication with JAMB.

How To Create JAMB Profile Code (SMS Method).

To get registered or to get a profile code via SMS is very simple, just send your National Identification Number (NIN) by text (SMS) to 55019 for UTME candidates or (NIN) by text (SMS) to 66019 for Direct Entry (DE) Candidates .  There should be a one space gap between the word NIN and the number.

See example below;

Example: for JAMB UTME Candidates; if your NIN is  00123456789 just type the word NIN 00123456789 then send it as an SMS to 55019. After that a Profile Code of 10 characters is received by the candidate on the same telephone number.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates; e.g if your NIN is  00123456789 just type the word NIN 00123456789 then send it as an SMS to 66019. After that a Profile Code of 10 characters is sent to your unique telephone number.

Do not forget to give a one space gap between the word NIN and the NIN number (00123456789)

Here is the step by step guide on how to get your JAMB profile code through SMS;

  1. On your mobile phone open the text message app.

  2. Type the word NIN and the Number to 55019 0r 66019 using this format (NIN 00123456789).

  3. On the recipient space type 55019 (UTME) or 66019 (Direct Entry).

  4. Send the message to 55019 or 66019.

  5. After sending the message, in a couple of minutes a Profile Code of ten (10) characters will be received by the same phone number you used to send the message.

You will charged an SMS fee of fifty naira (₦50) for sending this message, so do ensure you have this amount on your mobile phone network.

Note: One phone number can only be used by one candidate. The phone number used for the text message will automatically register candidate’s name and will be used for further communication with JAMB, also you can retrieve your profile code with it.  

How To Create JAMB Profile Code (Online Method)

Apart from the SMS method explained above, another way you can create your profile code is online.

Here is the step by step guide on how to get your JAMB profile code online;

1. Visit the JAMB efacility portal on https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng

2. Click on Sign up for UTME/DE

3. Click on Create an account

4. Fill in the displayed form correctly with your email address and other required details. If you don’t have an email address click on this link – How To Create an Email Address.

5. Click on the Ok button
When you are done filling the displayed form with your email address and other required details hit the OK button.

6. Visit Gmail at www.gmail.com and log in to your mail. see How To Login to Gmail account

7. Click on the JAMB link inside your Gmail.
On your Gmail account locate and click on the link sent to you from JAMB which reads “Click here to continue your profile creation”, you can see this message in your inbox, updates or spam mail.

8. Fill in the displayed form with the required details such as; name, gender and other details correctly.

Once you are done filling in this form with the right details, your JAMB Profile account is successful.

9. Proceed to Login to your account

10. Enter your email address  and  Password

11. Welcome to JAMB Dashboard.
Once you are done creating your profile and you’ve logged in into your JAMB account, from the JAMB dashboard you can access your profile.

How To Retrieve JAMB Profile Code

To retrieve lost or forgotten JAMB Profile code just send an SMS Text [Resend] to 55019 or 66019 from the same phone number you used for registration. In a couple of minutes your profile code is sent to your unique phone number, you will be charged about N50 (fifty naira) for it.

Step by Step guide on how to retrieve your lost or forgotten JAMB Profile Code using the USSD code;

  1. On your mobile phone open the text message app.

  2. Type RESEND

  3. Enter 55019  66019 as the recipient phone number

  4. Send the message RESEND to 55019 or 66019

  5. In less than a minute your profile Code of ten characters will be received by the same phone number you used to send the message.

How To Access My JAMB Profile.

To access you JAMB profile follow this simple steps below.

  1. Visit the JAMB efacilty portal via https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng

  2. Enter your email and Password

  3. Click on the “Login” button

  4. The JAMB dashboard page is open from here locate “My Profile’

  5. Click on the “My Profile” button. Clicking on it will load up your JAMB Profile page from which you will see your profile data.
