The process of admission to the University of Maiduguri after writing the UTME/DE Exam Starts with applying for the UNIMAID Post UTME.
How To Apply For UNIMAID Post UTME Screening Form
STEP 1: Visit UNIMAID Post UTME Portal
After writing the JAMB UTME/DE Exam you will have to check your JAMB Result to see if you scored up to this year’s minimum/required JAMB and UNIMAID Cut-Off Mark. If you did proceed to apply for UNIMAID Post UTME at https://putme.unimaid.edu.ng/. You can also check for the University of Maiduguri Cut Off Mark for this year ⇒ here.

STEP 2: Click on the “Apply/Register”
Clicking on the ‘Apply/Register’ button will open up a page where you will have to create an account by filling in your details such as; JAMB Registration Number, Surname and First Name, Entry Mode (UTME or Direct Entry) Phone Number, Username (Email Address) and Password. Note that your Password must contain upper case and number also.
STEP 3: Click on “Register Account”
After filling in your details as explained above, you will have to click on the ‘Register Account’ button to process your UNIMAID Post UTME Form. A Confirmation link will be sent to your email address, click on the confirmation link and you will be redirected to a payment page.
STEP 4: Click on “Process Payment”
Click on the Process Payment button to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) invoice, copy out this number or code, and proceed to make payment. You can make payment at the bank or through ATM.
Note that the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) invoice would be necessary during payment, so copy it out for payment and reference use.
- Bank Payment: To make payment at the bank just print out the payment slip and proceed to any bank to make payment using the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) invoice.
- ATM Payment: Enter your card details, phone number, and other necessary details, on doing this, a One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your phone number, and the email address you registered. Use this One Time Password (OTP) to complete the payment process.
STEP 5: Click on “Verify” payment
When you are done with the ‘Payment Process’, you will be directed to the dashboard to input your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) invoice if you paid with an ATM card, but if you paid at the bank, you will have to login in with your username and password to and input the RRR invoice. After inputting the RRR number, then you will click on the ‘verify’ button to confirm that you’ve paid for the UNIMAID Post UTME Application/Registration.
STEP 6: Continue With Registration
After clicking on the verify button you will be directed to a bio data page where you will have to fill in your and other details correctly. when you are done filling the form correctly, just save and click on the ‘Next’ button to continue.
STEP 7: Upload Credentials
Uploading O’ Level Results is the next action to take after filling out the bio-data form. On this page, you will have to provide examination date(s) and numbers (s), the number of sittings (only two sittings allowed), and also select the certificate(s) obtained. If yours is Awaiting Result (A/R), just click on the ‘Awaiting Result’ (A/R) button, you can upload it later when the result is out.
For Direct Entry (DE) applicants, in addition to the 7 STEPS above, you will provide Higher Education certificate details.

STEP 8: Click on “Submit”
Crosscheck the details in the form to see if they are correct after which you can click on the ‘Submit’ button to submit your application/registration form. After submission, a message is displayed as “Application Submitted Successfully it can not be altered thanks”.

Requirements For UNIMAID Post UTME Registration?
Before applying for the University of Maiduguri Post UTME, you should take note of the list of things that make you eligible for it.
- Candidates must score up to the JAMB and UNIMAID Cut Off Mark
- Candidates must at least be sixteen (16) years old and above during the year of the Application
- Candidates must have made the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) their first choice of institution

University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) Post UTME form is sold for Two thousand Naira (N2000), but due to the bank and online payment charges, approximately you can budget about N(2500) – (3000) for it.
Can I Apply For UNIMAID Post UTME If It’s My Second Choice of Institution?
No, is the answer to this question, you can only apply for UNIMAID Post UTME only if you have made it your first choice of institution during JAMB registration, or you can also do Change of Institution in order to correct your choice of institution in JAMB Caps.
