2023 JAMB Direct Entry Registration?
JAMB registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede has announced that the JAMB Direct Entry registration will commence on Monday 20th, March 2023.

Before the new date of the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry Registration, you will recall that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) had earlier commenced the 2023 Direct Entry registration on Monday, 20th February, but it was suspended due to the finding of the plethora of devices and plots to bypass and compromise the standard of A’ Level qualifications required from DE candidates.
Why the New Guideline for 2023 JAMB Direct Entry?
The JAMB registrar Prof Is-haq Oloyede complained that the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) registration process was initially suspended due to the high level of forgery of A-Level certificates used for the registration.
Speaking further, He said that the one hundred and twenty-seven (127) candidates who had done their registration earlier for the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry before the process was suspended would have to return to their various JAMB CBT registration Centres and update their application.
Also, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede the JAMB Registrar said the board had instructed new guidelines to inspect such acts.
To checkmate the registration process properly and to avoid the high level of forgery of A-Level certificates that was used initially for the JAMB 2O23 registration before it was suspended, the Board has initiated some standards/Guides which are to be observed or used during the process.

New Guidelines for Direct Entry Registration /Exam
1. Failed Session Rescheduling: This means that any exam session that, for whatever explanation(s), could not take off within 60 minutes (one hour) of its schedule is automatically or mechanically rescheduled. Therefore when there is such an occurrence, affected candidates are advised or expected to stand out of the examination hall into the waiting hall and await the new scheduled examination time and venue, which probably would be the same or the next day.
2. Qualifications/Certificate: According to the JAMB registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board would accept only thirteen (13) qualifications/certificates for the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry (DE) registration, which include;
- First Degree,
- University Diploma,
- Higher National Diploma (HND),
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
- National Diploma (ND)
- Nigeria Certificate in Education.
Other qualifications/ certifications for the 2023 JAMB Direct Entry registration are;
- JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board) A’ Level,
- IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) A’ Level,
- NABTEB Advanced National Business Certificate,
- Higher Islamic Studies Certificate by NBAIS,
- NABTEB Advanced National Technical Certificate,
- NABTEB GCE-A’ Level (2015 – 2021),
- International Baccalaureate and the National Registered Nurse /National Registered Midwife.
3. JAMB Data Bank Renamed: The JAMB registrar also disclosed that the data bank which is used to address the problems involving A’ Level qualifications had now been renamed as ‘Nigeria Post-secondary Education Data System.
When is the Deadline for JAMB Direct Entry Registration?

It has been announced by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyed, that the JAMB Direct Entry registration commenced on Monday 20th, March 2023.
Meanwhile, He also announced that the registration Deadline will be on Friday 28th, April 2023.
